Profiles and Presence
Manage your identity in Chatalot -- your display name, avatar, bio, and online status. This section covers how to customize your profile and how the presence system communicates your availability to others.

Overview
Every Chatalot user has a profile that includes:
- Display name -- The name shown in messages and the members panel (separate from your login username).
- Avatar -- A profile picture shown next to your messages and in voice calls.
- Banner -- A header image shown on your profile card.
- Bio -- A short description about yourself.
- Pronouns -- Optional pronouns displayed on your profile card.
- Custom status -- A short text status visible to others (e.g., "In a meeting").
- Presence status -- Your current availability: Online, Away, Do Not Disturb, Invisible, or Offline.
All profile fields except your username and presence status are editable through Settings > Profile.
